Flight 542: Into the Unexpected — Participant Selection
Join a filmed Boeing 737 MAX 8 simulator experience in Brussels.
Casting: Brussels Flight Simulators is selecting 8 adult participants (two crews of 4) to take part in Flight 542: Into the Unexpected — a filmed, immersive real-flight experience inside our Boeing 737 MAX 8 simulator. This is a selection (casting), not a random giveaway.
What you will experience
This is a full real-time Brussels → Nice flight, gate to gate, reproduced as closely as possible to reality in our 737 MAX 8 simulator. Selected participants will be on board as passengers; unlike a real flight, you will sit directly behind the pilots, with no separation — you’ll see and hear everything.
- Before departure: flight plan, weather, fuel planning, NOTAMs — explained step by step.
- During the flight: the Captain will comment each phase and action, from pushback to shutdown.
- Twist: an in-flight “something” will occur, likely requiring emergency procedures…
- Filming: the entire session is recorded to produce a teaser for the future paid experience.
Approx. duration: ~3 hours including briefing and final debrief.

- In your comment, tag three friends you’d bring on board.
- Make sure your profile photo(s) are visible and your DMs are open so we can contact you if shortlisted.

Eligibility
- Age 20–60, comfortable being filmed (voice & image).
- Available in Brussels (Zaventem) on the filming dates below.
- No pilot experience required — two real pilots guide the experience.
- No purchase necessary.
Schedule & location
- Location: Brussels Flight Simulators, Leuvensesteenweg 542 / Unit B.2, 1930 Zaventem, Belgium.
- Filmed demo sessions: two sessions of about 3 hours, 4 participants each:
- 20/10/2025 – 19:30 (EN/NL)
- 22/10/2025 – 19:30 (EN/FR)
- Scenario: gate briefing → normal departure → in-flight incident → emergency diversion to Geneva.
Selection process
From all valid entries, our team will create a shortlist based on profile, on-camera ease, diversity, and availability. Shortlisted candidates will receive a direct message for final confirmation. The final 8 participants will be chosen by the Brussels Flight Simulators team. Selection is subjective and final.
This ensures a balanced crew and the best possible footage for the project.
Filming & usage
- Sessions will be filmed (photo & video) for promotional use on our social media, website, and press.
- Selected participants grant Brussels Flight Simulators the right to use their image, voice and likeness without financial compensation.
- The experience for selected participants is free of charge.
